-
- I'll let you know the first time I seen a Vic-20, along with my parents
- was A) in school and then B) in Canadian Tire here in Canada.
-
- The first time I seen a C64 was at Canadian Tire and Kmart.
-
- The first time I seen an Amiga was at Kmart.
-
- I bought my Vic-20 at Canadian Tire, I bought my C64 at Kmart and I
- bought my Amigas second hand.
-
- I did most of my shopping for the Vic-20 at department stores, I did some
- of my shopping for the C64 at department stores and then moved into
- Commodore dealers to do the rest for hardware and software and then
- mailorder.
-
- My Amiga is all second hand stuff or mail order as by the time I got into
- it all department stores stopped carrying Amiga stuff and Amiga dealers
- closed up in Newfoundland.
-
- My point is I got introduced to the computers via department stores and
- then furthered it with my dealers for repairs and software/other hardware
- purchases which the department stores didn't offer.
-
- Once I GOT the computer, THEN I started checking out the dealers for that
- computer, before that, I hardly went into computer dealer stores.
